… until Christ is formed in you. (Galatians 4:19)

These two books were combined in the original Hebrew Scriptures focused on restoration of Israel following the Captivity. This study will focus on spiritual, moral, social and political restoration as Israel’s worship of God was revitalized and its people were purified. This class is recommended for people at any phase of your spiritual journey.

Hebrews
January 11 – March 29
10:45AM, Room 118
Instructor: Randy Thompson, CFC Deacon
In the face of extreme persecution, the writer of Hebrews exhorts Jewish believers to “press on” to maturity in Christ. This appeal is based on the superiority of Christ over the Judaic system. Pressing on to maturity produces tested faith, self-discipline, and visible love seen in good works. Join us for an in depth study of Hebrews and many Old Testament passages as we move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity.

The objective of this 3-part course is to present the basic truths of the Christian faith in a simple, systematic and life-changing way. Each module can be taken in any order. This series of classes is recommended for the New Believer and the Growing Disciple.

January 11 – March 1
9:00AM, Room 114
Instructor: Randy Warren, CFC Deacon
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; Psalm 24:1
When people hear the terms financial management or stewardship, they often dismiss the need in one of these ways:
- Oh, that’s not for me, that’s for people who are in credit card debt.
- Oh, I don’t want to go to that class, they’re going to beat me up to tithe and give more to the church.
- Oh, that class is for beginners, I already know what I’m doing with my finances.
This class is not just for beginners. It’s not just for people who need immediate help with managing their finances and getting out of debt. It’s not just about tithing. This class is about growing spiritually in an area the Bible says is an area of testing for people.
In this 8-week course, we'll begin by understanding the aspects of God's Word that teach us about handling our "talents". In the end we will establish a working plan that will allow us to reach the goal of becoming truly generous from a Christ-centered point of view as we become Kingdom builders.

The 222 Workshop (Becoming a Mentor)
Saturday, March 28, 8:30AM – 12:00PM
Rooms 2-3-4
222 is our code name for 2 Timothy 2:2. (And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.) What’s the difference between mentoring and discipleship? They are closely related, but not exactly the same. Discipleship, as we know it today, tends to narrow its focus to the spiritual dimension. Ideally it should touch on every area of life – our personal life and lifestyle, our work, our relationships. Mentoring practiced by Christians certainly ought to be centered on Christ, but it emphasizes relationship in addition to biblical instruction. In this half-day workshop, we’ll explore the biblical basis for mentoring which encompasses discipleship and provide a helpful framework for men and women to take the initial steps to connect with spiritually younger men and women and begin living out 2 Timothy 2:2.
