Getting Involved
Getting involved in the Calvary family is quite easy. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Choose a Worship Service
Our purpose on earth is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. But what does that mean practically? It means worship (John 4:23-24). Worship is an attitude and a posture of life. It is the perpetual praise and thanksgiving to God Almighty.
Sunday services are scheduled for 8:10AM, 9:50AM and 11:30AM. Throughout the fall we are meeting in our Gym while our Worship Center is being renovated.
2. Get connected in one of our biblical community environments
- We offer a number of Family Life Groups to help you make initial connections on a Sunday morning beyond the Worship Service. There are mid-size groups for children up through older adults (Wonderworks, Middle School, High School, The Bridge, Young Married, Middle Adult and Ventures).
- We offer a variety of Spiritual Formation Classes on Sunday mornings to help you grow in your walk with Christ. Check out our current curriculum of classes.
- Our Care Ministry offers a number of environments to meet you during a time of crisis where you’ll find love, compassion, fellowship and prayer (Divorce Care, Grief Share, Celebrate Recovery)
- Ultimately we encourage every member of CFC to eventually join a Small Group. Our Small Groups provide for progressive sanctification, biblical fellowship, mutual care and multiplication.
3. Volunteer to Serve
Getting involved at Calvary Fellowship Church through volunteering in one of our ministries is a great way to meet others who have a heart for service. You will also learn more about many ministries of our church that serve not only our church family but also our community. Check out the volunteer opportunities available for you, located under each ministry’s page.
If you are relatively new to CFC, we encourage you to:
- Attend our Discovering CFC evening. These are offered quarterly and provide you with an opportunity to meet Jeff Allem, our Senior Pastor along with the rest of the staff. This is a very informal environment where you’ll hear more about the vision and passion that drives Calvary Fellowship Church. The next Discovering CFC is scheduled for Friday, September 12 from 6:30-8:30PM. Bring along the family for an evening of fun, food and fellowship.
- If you like what you hear and you’d like to consider partnering with us through Membership, we encourage you to attend our Membership Class. This is a 7-week class that will provide you with an overview of what we believe, our ministry philosophy and specific opportunities for you to get connected through worship, community and service.
Our next Membership Class starts, September 14 at 8:10AM in room114.
- The last step in the connection process is to join a Small Group. Small Groups meet three to four times each month and are lead by a trained Small Group Leader. Group meetings are normally two hours and include time for Bible discussion, accountability, and prayer, as well as informal times to build relationships with others in the group. To help with this process, we invite you to attend GroupLink which is offered in September and January. GroupLink is an evening dedicated to facilitating the formation of new small groups. The next GroupLink event is scheduled for Thursday, September 11 from 7-9PM in room 114.
