To register simply click on the link above or sign up in the Community Cafe beginning in March. Registration fee of $10 will be collected at the conference (includes continental breakfast and lunch on 11/5). We hope to offer 4-5 tracks to choose from. The general topics are listed below and descriptions will be finalized in early February.
Our spotlight session will be God Behaving Badly: Is the God of the Old Testament Angry, Sexist and Racist? taught by Dr. David T. Lamb, Associate Professor of Old Testament at Biblical Seminary in Hatfield, PA.
Dr. Lamb has extensive teaching experience, including cross-cultural projects in Nigeria, Mexico, Kazakhastan, and Russia. His book, Righteous Jehu and his Evil Heirs (Oxford: Oxford University Press) was published in November 2007 and his most recent book entitled God Behaving Badly: Is the God of the Old Testament Angry, Sexist and Racist? (Downer Grove: InterVarsity Press, 2011) is now available. Dr. Lamb worked with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship from 1986-1999, serving as campus staff, team leader and area director. Areas of expertise: The Israelite monarchy, the books of Samuel, Kings, and Genesis; problematic portrayals of God in the Old Testament.
Other classes are being finalized but will include sessions on Marriage (taught by Pastor Bob VanArsdale) and Prayer (taught by Pastor Mike Edelman) plus 1-2 additonal topics.
