JAARS
Jungle Aviation And Radio Services (JAARS) is the technical support arm of Wycliffe Bible Translators and is located in Waxhaw, North Carolina. This training center includes facilities for aviation, computing and telecommunications staff and equipment. CFC teams help with the inventory, painting, cleaning, childcare, cafeteria and any other work they have for us to do. In the evenings we have dinner with Jerry & Lynn Jones, our CFC Missionary family assigned there. We go the end of September and the week starts on Sunday with a 600 mile drive to Waxhaw, volunteering at the center Monday through Friday, and driving back home the following Saturday. The cost is approximately $300.00 and includes transportation, lodging, and meals.

Senegal
CFC started a partnership with Mission Inter Senegal (MIS) in 2004. In March 2012 we will participate in our 8th short term trip to Senegal, West Africa. We adopted a village that has a population of about 1500. The Pastor there shepherds a growing church and leads church planting efforts in 4 neighboring villages. Each year we have worked with our ministry partners and the Elders in the village to identify various projects that would meet tangible needs within the village and provide a powerful witness for Christ. Our trips typically involve a few medical clinics in surrounding villages, lots of interaction with the children and relational time to encourage the believers. We have a need for a doctor, and few nurses and anyone else who may have a heart for relational ministry. Medical experience is not required to part of this team. This trip is open to High School students and older. If a parent goes on the trip, we may consider a Middle School student as well.

China
This Short Term trip is totally relational and focuses on developing friendships with Chinese students by meeting a very practical need that they have to practice their spoken English. This is done by going to China as English teachers and developing friendships by teaching in their classrooms. Chinese students are interested in learning about American culture and in the process of sharing one-on-one, many topics of conversation come up naturally, including spiritual topics. We are able to share about what is truly important to us. If you go on this trip, you will fall in love with China and her people, you will be stretched in new ways, and you will learn things about God and yourself that you never thought possible. We have made 9 trips to China, beginning in 1997. We are planning a return trip in 2012. You can download a copy of the application here as well as a copy of the Informational Fact Sheet here.

Panama
This is CFC’s third trip to the village of Piriati in Panama. However, this trip will differ greatly from the previous two trips. For this upcoming trip the CFC youth will be partnering with the youth of Piriati to reach out to the community. This will be done through teaching in the schools, doing work projects and putting on a “family fun day” for the community.
The primary goal for this ministry trip is to have the youth of two different cultures serve the Lord together in the village of Piriati. Our hope is that the community will see a love, grounded in Jesus Christ, which transcends cultural boundaries.

Moldova
CFC has had a partnership with the Transnistria region of Moldova in Eastern Europe over the past ten years. The Transnistria region of Moldova was part of the Soviet Union and the people have been ravaged by economic and political sanctions which have left the church with few partners and resources. Our trips have been focused on encouraging our brothers and sisters in Christ who have struggled since the break up of the Soviet Union. While in Moldova, team members will assist local Christian churches and orphanages with building projects and partner with orphanages to present the Gospel through Vacation Bible School. In addition, team members will be able to visit with Christian families and children who are part of the Help The Children foster and transitional care program.

Katrina
The Katrina Recovery Trips are short-term work team and relational mission opportunities working closely under the direction of TouchGlobal/EFCA. Teams travel via vans to Trinity Church in Covington, Louisiana where they spend one week working on homes and churches that were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, care for those lost and left behind, and related outreach and evangelism to the community, to show God’s love and compassion and to share the Gospel. Trinity Church provides lodging in the church to the teams who come to serve.Work teams participate in various stages of construction, including gutting, framing, electrical, plumbing, dry-walling, installing cabinetry, cleaning and painting. Teams also meet the homeowners and have opportunity to share with them and invest in their lives as well as their homes. All levels of experience are welcome-whether you have never wielded a hammer or if you have built your own home from the ground up, your willing hearts and helping hands are needed and welcomed!

Camp at the Old Mill
Camp at the Old Mill is a 4 day trip that ministers to Coatesville families of Kindergarten thru 5th grade students. CFC Middle School, High School and Young Adults sign up to be counselors and stay at the camp. The campers from Coatesville visit the camp each day from 1 to 4:30. Families of the Coatesville campers are invited to dinner on Sunday night at the BACC and also to come to the camp on Wednesday. We ask God to provide opportunities for our counselors and volunteers to share the gospel with their campers and their families. Volunteers from all generations at CFC are invited to help at the camp in the kitchen, craft, waterfront and other activities. At this year’s camp, over 180 people from our CFC body were involved in serving together for the glory of Christ.

Mexico
Wildifire – Mexico is for 5th/6th Graders who have completed 2 years in the Wildfire program prior to the trip date and former kids who have particpated in previous Mexico trips. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be a part of a team that works with Tom and Sandy Basile (our missionaries in Mexico). While you are there you will put your faith into action as you lead a VBS at the Palo Alto orphanage in Puebla. You will share the gospel with the children and engage them in lessons, games and crafts. The team will also be performing a service project at a local Christian school or church. If you have a desire to see other children come to know the Lord as their personal Savior, grow in your own faith and develop relationships with the Mexican children, this is the missions trip for you.
