In 2002, the Young Marrieds Ministry was started when a few newlywed couples recognized the importance of beginning a marriage on a solid foundation in Christ. Since that time, YMM has grown and developed from a small newlywed class into a place where newlyweds and young families come together to grow in Christ. Our ministry focuses on couples in their 20s through mid-30s within the first seven to eight years of marriage. We are in the “new” stage of life; newly married, new career, new house, newborns.

Our life stage presents many challenges and rewards. We are an extremely dynamic, ever-changing group that has a very strong need to develop community and fellowship with one another. Strong bonds of friendship are developed here within this community. With that said, we are faced with many challenges as well. Numerous issues present themselves during this season of life: learning to live with a spouse, balance between career and family, children, and in-law issues. The list goes on and on! Marriages break down when couples don’t have biblical principles at the core of their relationship to combat these challenges. YMM is a unique ministry in Chester County, providing a place for young couples and families to focus on biblically principled teaching and marriage development.

Our group meets regularly every Sunday morning at 10:45 am in Room 124. During this time, we take part in a combination of studying books of the bible and topical studies focusing around marital issues from a Christ-centered perspective. In addition, we meet regularly outside of Sunday mornings for social and service events focused on building strong relationships within the group. Some of these events include: cookouts, date nights, various guy’s & girl’s night out, retreats, service projects and more! This ministry has something to offer every couple…a community of married believers to share the experiences of this stage of life and grow together in Christ.
