Our Mission & Vision

Our Vision (Matthew 6:9-10, 6:33, 2 Corinthians 5:13-15)

As faithful stewards of God’s kingdom, we desire God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, seeing people live out God’s mission in this world.

Our Mission (Matthew 28:19-20)

CFC exists to glorify God by making fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ who impact their families, communities and the world with the Word of God.

Our Strategy

We provide an atmosphere where people can pursue truthful worship, biblical community, and spiritual formation that are grounded in the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. With the constant need to pray and seek God’s leading, we will continually take steps of faith.

Foundational Elements of our Vision

Intentional Disciple Making (Matthew 28:19, 1 Timothy 1:18-19a, 2 Timothy 2:2)

We value the Word of God and believe that the church has been called to make disciples of Jesus Christ. A disciple is committed to a life changing relationship with Jesus; is committed to his or her local church; and is committed to making more followers of Jesus. We believe the disciple-making process can happen on many levels, large and small, but the most effective way is when one person invests his or her life in another.

Spiritual Formation (Ephesians 4:11-13, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

As followers of Jesus, we are called to bring our whole life under the reign of God. As a church we will provide the resources and relationships for this to happen by the power of the Holy Spirit. Some of the ways in which we seek to enable this are: Biblical, Christ-centered preaching, a well-defined spiritual formation curriculum, small groups, relational mentoring, life-stage opportunities, etc.

Community Impact (Matthew 5:14-16, Luke 10:25-37, 1 Timothy 6:17-18, James 1:27)

We are called to be a blessing to our community. As such, we are constantly aware of the pulse within our different communities. We seek to provide meaningful ministries to serve the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those in our area. Our community of faith will live out the mission of God in all areas of life (home, school, work, play, etc.). CFC will serve as a catalyst in uniting like-minded ministries in our community and around the world to work together in seeing God’s will done on earth as it is in heaven.

Global Missions & Mobilization (Acts 1:8, Colossians l 1:6)

We will passionately pursue our global perspective for missions by sending and mobilizing individuals, teams and churches to be a blessing to all of God’s creation. We will also continue to encourage, support and train those who are called to the ministry of the gospel.

Unity of Purpose (John 17:20-21, 1 Corinthians 12:12, Philippians 2:1-2)

All ministries at CFC are unified in our mission as a spiritual community. We seek to cultivate cross-generational relationships that strengthen and support the CFC family. We believe that this can only happen as we are committed to the power of prayer. We faithfully surrender our time, talents and financial resources in support of God’s mission for His Church. At the heart of this missional unity is Christ-centered, inter-generational worship of God. Authentic worship will honor God, inspire his people to action and challenge the seeker to respond.
